Bok Bok this Saturday!

Night Slugs label head, Bok Bok, makes his first appearance in Calgary this Saturday night at the Hifi Club...we are super excited about this one! Alex "Bok Bok" Sushon along with partner, L-Vis 1990, have been two of the most exciting artists to emerge from the UK club scene as of late...with no allegiances to a particular genre...this night promises to be a proper exhibit of all things current in the world of dance music.
Bok Bok has been on fire lately...one of his recent tunes, Citizen Dub feat. Bubbz, has been blowing up dancefloors and mixtapes around the world...and has been a personal peak time favorite of mine pon Modern Math the last couple weeks.

The posters says Jubilee will be opening, however this is a typo...TheRinseOut's own: Lorne B, & Piranha Piranha will be doing a 2x4 turntable tag team set to warm up the dance.
Get there early...this is gonna be a party!!!

Worthy at Modern Math!

We are pumped to welcome San Francisco's, Worthy, to Modern Math on Friday April 9.
Worthy is signed to Claude VonStroke's label, Dirtybird, and also runs his own imprint, Anabatic.

His glitchy take on bass heavy, percussion rich, booty knocking crunk house is gonna have the dancefloor a stir...this is gonna be the perfect jumpoff for what promises to be a hot spring/summer pon Modern Math!

Scuba - Triangulation

Scuba's second album titled Triangulation drops next week on his Hotflush imprint, and from the snippets I've heard its sounds like quite the follow up to 2008's critically acclaimed A Mutual Antipathy.

Scuba aka Paul Rose was our favorite artist of 2009 here at therinseout.com...not just because of his solid productions, remixes, and mix cds...but because of the calibre of talent he unearthed through his label including Joy Orbison, and Mount Kimbie amongst others...get this album when it drops!

He states: "This was originally going to come out on Shogun as the B-Side to Inner Disbelief. We are super pumped to be a part of this one of kind micro festival taking place here in Calgary next Saturday night at Flames Central...not only do we get to play alongside our main hombres the Smalltown DJ's, & Mat The Alien...but we get to play with one of our favourite djs/producers on da planet...Diplo!!!

First off...big ups to everyone that attended the Eskmo, 6Blocc, & 12th Planet Massive at Modern Math last night...it was madness...nuff said.

Next week we are taking MM mobile...and TEMPORARILY moving from the Lord Nelson for the night...and doing a full a/v install in the theater room at the Uptown Cinema for Calgary's biggest indie art mashup, Factory Party #8.

This is the last in the series of the Factory Party's...and we are honored to be a part of the finale.
We played FP#'s 4 and 5...both were sensational...this finale is going to be legendary!

Been feeling a bunch of this techy building type dub as of late, some sort of sick simple percussion .. with layer upon layer of other growing and evolving craziness.. rave dub.. chill out stuff..... thanks to the guys over at F.4.T Music, a new E.P from Shinigami San happened to end up in my inbox. Community Sale & Otha Tings!!

Bunch of reallllly sick shows comin up right away here! Tonight we have a good friend of ours in from out east, Egytprixx. He's playing a LIVE PA set down at the Republik, stopped in to the Calgary scene a couple times before but never like this! A new live spin with the extremely unique and finely tuned sounds of Egyptrixx! Gonna be bonkers! With Mr Geography to open up with a nice 3 hour set..  Tomorrow night we've got another ripper for you! As many already know.. this will be a REAAL dubstep show! Stacked... Eskmo, 6Blocc, 12th Planet, Prolific, along with many others to support!! (check the previous post for some bomb chunes)... Now after a couple excellent nights I'd say it would be a great idea to head over to the Hifi club in between the hours of 12:00pm and 6:00pm on Saturday. There's a huge sale happening. Bunch of Calgary local shops with prices to clear! Discounts of up to 80% off ... check it out.. there will be live music and plenty of fun to be had!! DIPLO! gonna be bangin to say the least!
